There are plenty of restaurants to chose from in Turunc, even for the most discernible of palates. Fish is often on all menus throughout the village – Sea Bass being the most popular. Lamb is another popular dish, as is steak. Most restaurants will offer English menu selection for the more traditional tourist, even down to English Breakfast.

Try a Mezze (Hot or Cold) the variety of the dishes will wet most appetites. Better still, get a small one of each for a starter with fresh oven flat bread and garlic butter – brilliant!

Turkey isn't noted for its wine internationally, however they do produce some wonderful wine – Yakut and Cankaya will compliment any meal. Yakult is similar to a Cotes de Provence, possibly slightly coarser whilst the Chanykaya is a decent palatable dry white. Also worthy of a mention is Doluca Riesling - similar to a South African Semillion.

The two main vin houses are Doluca and Kavadlidere and most restaurants will stock wine from both. Meal prices will vary depending where you eat - but expect to pay around £20.00 per couple for a decent 3 course meal - including wine/beer and the coffee and brandy!

Local spirits are cheaper than international branded labels – nearly double local prices! Beer - bottled and draft is lager variety – without the lager taste! Efes is the local brew - bottled variety is best – but you can get Tuburg Export, Heineken and other imported beers. A large beer will cost about £2.00p – and will slip down easily whenever the sun is over the yardarm.

The village has plenty of restaurant's to cater for most taste's. Prices are generally the same - depending on currency exchange rates - the Euro doesn't do well compared to the lure of Sterling! In the more popular restaurant's it might be wise to book a table in advance, and in some circumstances you may be required to actually book your meal - in order for that particular speciality to be prepared correctly.

Also try and visit the Tea Gardens in the village - great place to chill after coming of the Beach at the end of the day!! Also they do great sweet and savoury pancakes which are great for a light breakfast / early brunch!!
